Hong Lac strives to reach the model new rural area goal in 2024

In 2023, most of the indicators for agricultural, industrial, handicraft and service development increased compared to 2022. Agricultural production value increased by 0.02%; handicraft increased by 12.6%. With the strength of transportation, Hong Lac's trade and service economy developed strongly, the value of trade and services and other sources of income increased by 5.5%. Total production value increased by 5.3%. Average income per capita was 78.2 million VND, an increase of 4.4% over the previous year.

According to the mid-term report, many targets of the commune have been achieved and exceeded compared to the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. The exceeded targets include: agricultural production value; value of handicraft and construction production; value of trade and service production. The total production value increased by 10.7% compared to the congress target.

To achieve that result, Hong Lac commune has actively promoted the transformation of rice variety structure, planned concentrated production areas, and applied scientific advances to production to improve rice productivity. The commune Party Committee has based on the actual local situation, selected key issues to determine the effective implementation of breakthroughs. In 2021, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune focused on directing and implementing the district's projects and plans according to the Resolution of the 25th District Party Congress. Along with that, local Party committees and authorities have focused on building a team of cadres and civil servants to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period in the spirit of the Resolution of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial Party Congress with 5 clear contents: clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear results, clear responsibilities. The tasks are detailed. The commune has expanded and built Hong Lac Kindergarten, Area B; expanded and built 3 floors with 6 classrooms, a multi-purpose house, and a toilet at Hong Lac Secondary School. The commune actively coordinates with relevant units to clear land to serve the expansion and upgrading of provincial road 390B passing through the area.

In 2024, Hong Lac commune will continue to urge villages to focus on propaganda and mobilize people to concretize intra-field roads and donate land to expand rural roads according to the model new rural construction program. Strive to complete the criteria to reach the model new rural finish line in 2024.

Recently, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province supported the investment policy of the new residential area project on Huong River in Hong Lac commune. The project has a total investment of more than 942 billion VND. This is one of the projects that contributes to improving the landscape and population size, contributing to the socio-economic development of Thanh Ha district and the people of Hong Lac commune will benefit the most.
