On the evening of May 19, the electric motorbike brand Yadea Vietnam informed that the map of its store system displayed ambiguous information about Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
Specifically, Yadea Vietnam admitted: "We admit that we were extremely negligent in coordinating with the website construction service provider and map provider to display accurate information/images."
A Yadea representative said that after receiving the information, they immediately "checked and removed inappropriate images in accordance with current legal regulations."
The company representative shared: "We confirm that this incident happened unexpectedly and sincerely apologize for this very unfortunate mistake."
Previously, the Vietnamese online community discovered that the company’s website yadea.com.vn displayed an inappropriate map in the store search category. In particular, the images and information that the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam were not clearly shown.
In addition, there is non-specific information about the language, displayed related to the provinces and cities of Vietnam on the map.
According to the reporter's records, at 6:00 p.m. on May 19, the store search service on Yadea Vietnam's website was blocked. Users accessing the store search will only receive a 404 error message "page not found".
The reporter's private source said that Yadea has been actively working with the service provider to edit the map system. Only when it fully meets the regulations of Vietnamese law will it be displayed again.
