Hai Duong exceeded 8 out of 14 indicators for protecting, caring for and improving people's health.

According to the Hai Duong Department of Health, up to now, the province has exceeded 8 out of 14 targets for protecting, caring for and improving people's health set by the end of 2025.

96.6% of medical stations in Hai Duong have managed and treated some non-communicable diseases.

The exceeded targets are the rate of children under 1 year old vaccinated with 12 types of vaccines reaching 95.5%, exceeding the target by 0.5%. The mortality rate of children under 5 years old is 1.7‰, exceeding 16.8‰. The mortality rate of children under 1 year old is 0.9‰, exceeding 11.6‰. The rate of stunting in children under 5 years old is 11.6% while the target is below 20%. The rate of medical stations implementing prevention, management and treatment of some non-communicable diseases is 96.6%, exceeding 1.6%. The number of hospital beds per 10,000 people is 33.3, exceeding 3.3. The number of doctors per 10,000 people is 12.5, exceeding 2.5. The number of pharmacists per 10,000 people is 4.6, exceeding 1.8.

Hai Duong still has 6 targets that have not been achieved but are close to the set target. These are the rate of health insurance participation, the rate of people receiving health management, the number of nurses per 10,000 people, the rate of private hospital beds, the rate of people's satisfaction with health services, ending the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis and eliminating malaria.

The above health indicators are the result of implementing Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on strengthening the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation of the province.
