Ha Nam: Arrest of Chairman of Ba Sao Town People's Committee and accomplices

The People's Procuracy of Ha Nam province said that it has just approved the prosecution, arrest of the accused for temporary detention, and search of the residence and workplace of Nguyen Trung Van, born in 1970, residing in residential group No. 1, Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province, currently Director of the Land Fund Development Center of Kim Bang district, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district and Lai Tuan Anh, born in 1985, residing in group 5, Le Hong Phong ward, Phu Ly city, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district; approved the prosecution, search of the residence and workplace of Phan Thi Ngoc Thuong, born in 1984, residing in group 4, Ba Sao town, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province, cadastral officer of the People's Committee of Ba Sao town, for the crime of "Violating regulations on land management" according to the provisions of Article 229 of the Penal Code.

Based on documents and evidence in the case file, it was initially determined that Nguyen Trung Van, Lai Tuan Anh, and Phan Thi Ngoc Thuong abused their assigned positions and powers to establish and sign agricultural land lease contracts in violation of the law.

Currently, the case is being investigated by the prosecution agencies of Ha Nam province to clarify the criminal acts of the defendants and the violations of related individuals and organizations, to be handled according to the provisions of law.
