Colonel Vu Van Tan, after more than a year as director of the National Population Data Center, has been appointed deputy director of the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order, Ministry of Public Security.

On the afternoon of September 27, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06, Ministry of Public Security) held a ceremony to announce the Minister's decision on personnel work. Accordingly, Colonel Vu Van Tan was appointed as Deputy Director of Department C06.
Recently, C06 has also had many changes in personnel at the leadership level. Colonel Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of Ha Nam Provincial Police, was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of C06 to replace Lieutenant General To Van Hue, who received a decision to resign and await retirement benefits.
Colonel To Anh Dung, Deputy Director of Department C06, was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of Ha Nam Provincial Police.
Colonel Vu Van Tan was appointed as director of the National Population Data Center from March 2021, previously deputy director.
During Mr. Tan's time as the center's leader, the unit participated in two major projects: Building a national database on population and production, issuance and management of citizen identification cards. The center also successfully implemented a "campaign" to issue 50 million citizen identification cards.
