On the afternoon of April 13, Hung Yen Provincial Police announced that they had initiated a case and prosecuted Nguyen Ngoc Hung (born in 1967, in Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province) for tax evasion.
Through investigation, the police discovered that An Phuc Hung Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Duyen Yen village, Ngoc Thanh commune, Kim Dong district) had signs of tax evasion.
The defendant works with the police.
The police also determined that in 2020 and 2021, Nguyen Ngoc Hung established 195 sales contracts and fake input documents (in reality there was no purchase or sale of goods) with 103 individuals outside Hung Yen province, with the amount of goods and input materials being more than 14.1 billion VND.
Hung then used these illegal purchase and sale contracts and input documents to account for goods and input materials in activities that generated tax obligations, reducing the amount of corporate income tax that the company of which Hung was the director had to pay, thereby evading nearly VND 2 billion in corporate income tax.
