Gia Loc District Youth and Children Swimming Tournament 2024 increases 7 competition events

On the morning of July 11, the Summer Activities Steering Committee of Gia Loc district (Hai Duong) organized the 2024 Youth, Teenager and Children's Swimming Tournament.

The tournament attracted nearly 160 athletes from 18 communes and towns, an increase of nearly 30 athletes compared to last year's swimming tournament. The athletes competed in 11 events, an increase of 7 events. This is also one of the years with the largest number of athletes and events ever.

After half a day of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded first prizes to the athletes: Nguyen Thanh Loc (Thong Kenh) in the men's 75m freestyle; Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet (Hong Hung) in the women's 50m freestyle (regardless of age); Bui Cong Khanh (Thong Kenh) in the men's 50m freestyle (14-15 years old); Pham Do Quynh Chi (Gia Loc town) in the women's 50m freestyle (14-15 years old); Nguyen Gia Nhan (Thong Kenh) in the men's 50m freestyle (12-13 years old); Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet (Hong Hung) in the women's 50m freestyle (12-13 years old); Nguyen Thi Nhat Phuong (Hong Hung) in the women's 25m freestyle (11 years old and under); Tran Nguyen Tri Quang (Hoang Dieu) in the men's 25m freestyle (11 years old and under); Nguyen Dinh Minh (Gia Tan) in the men's 50m breaststroke (12-13 years old); Nguyen Dinh Dat (Gia Tan) 25m breaststroke for men (11 years old and under); Le Thi Minh Tam (Gia Loc town) 25m breaststroke for women (11 years old and under).

This is an activity to encourage the movement of physical exercise and sports among young people in the district, popularize swimming, and teach children swimming safety skills. Through that, select excellent athletes to join the swimming team to compete in provincial tournaments.
