Domestic construction steel prices have been adjusted down for the ninth consecutive time, to 14 million VND/ton.
Domestic steel prices fall for the 9th consecutive time
Some steel companies have just announced price reductions for CB240 rolled steel products, with a reduction of VND200,000-310,000/ton. Meanwhile, most companies have kept the price unchanged for D10 CB300 ribbed steel bars.
Specifically, according to Steel Online data, compared to the adjustment at the end of May, the Hoa Phat Steel brand in the North this time reduced by another 210,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil steel, down to 14.49 million VND/ton; the D10 CB300 ribbed steel bar line is still maintained at 14.89 million VND/ton.
In the Central region, Hoa Phat Steel reduced the price of CB240 rolled steel by VND250,000/ton to VND14.14 million/ton; D10 CB300 ribbed steel bars are still priced at VND14.75 million/ton.
In the South, Hoa Phat Steel reduced the price of CB240 rolled steel by VND210,000/ton to VND14.51 million/ton; D10 CB300 ribbed steel bars remained at VND14.85 million/ton.
In the same trend, Viet Y Steel in the North reduced the price of CB240 rolled steel by 200,000 VND/ton to 14.22 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 ribbed steel remained at 14.59 million VND/ton.
The price of Viet Duc Steel's CB240 rolled steel products in the North was also adjusted down by VND200,000/ton, to VND14.24 million/ton. Meanwhile, the brand's D10 CB300 ribbed steel bars remained unchanged at VND14.77 million/ton.
Similarly, Viet Nhat Steel also reduced the price of CB240 rolled steel by VND310,000/ton to VND14.31 million/ton; D10 CB300 ribbed steel bar was reduced by VND100,000/ton to VND14.67 million/ton.
Viet Sing Steel in the North adjusted down 210,000 VND/ton for CB240 rolled steel, to 14.41 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 ribbed steel remains at 14.77 million VND/ton.
Tung Ho Steel brand in the South also reduced the price of CB240 rolled steel by VND210,000/ton to VND14.41 million/ton; D10 CB300 rebar remains at VND14.77 million/ton.
Pomina Steel in the Central and Southern regions both adjusted down 200,000 VND/ton for CB240 rolled steel, down to 14.79 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 steel remained at 15.2 million VND/ton.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, domestic construction steel prices have recorded 9 consecutive decreases, with different price adjustment frequencies depending on the brand. Steel prices have dropped to 14 million VND/ton.
Explaining the reason for the continuous decline in steel prices, steel companies said that domestic steel prices followed the global trend of decline. Moreover, the prices of input materials have cooled down.
In the world market, today's steel price for October 2023 delivery on the Shanghai exchange increased by 3 yuan, to 3,694 yuan/ton.
