A rare incident happened at the Eiffel Tower - a famous tourist destination in France, where two American tourists did not leave the tower before the scheduled closing time, but instead spent a peaceful night sleeping on this towering tower.

The Paris prosecutor's office said the two men appeared to have fallen asleep on the Eiffel Tower due to being drunk.
According to Sete - the company that operates the Eiffel Tower, security guards protecting this tourist attraction discovered them walking around the tower before it opens to visitors at 9am every day.
French authorities have invited these two men to the police headquarters in District 7 of Paris for questioning.
This rare incident caused the opening time of the Eiffel Tower to be delayed by about 1 hour on the morning of August 14.
Previously, on August 12, the iconic tower of France was threatened with bombs twice, forcing visitors to evacuate. The threats were made through posts on the gaming website jeuxvideo.com and the online communication platform between citizens and the police - moncommissariat.fr.i. Two days later, three police stations in the capital Paris also received emails threatening to bomb the Eiffel Tower.
