On the afternoon of July 25, thousands of people came to the National Funeral Home (Hanoi) to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
The weather was hot but no one felt tired. People were willing to wait for hours in line to visit.Mrs. Tran Thi Hau, born in 1969 in Hoai Duc district, Hanoi, brought her grandchildren to line up at 11am but because of the rain, she took them home. She returned at 4pm to visit the General Secretary.91-year-old Ms. Nguyen Thi Tien from Dien Ban, Quang Nam went to Hanoi to see off the General Secretary for the last time.Ms. Tien said she had lined up twice. She arrived in the morning but was not allowed in. In the afternoon, she and her children and grandchildren arrived at 3 p.m. She sadly shared: "It's a pity that I won't be able to hear the General Secretary's words anymore."Mr. Doan Tan Phu was born in 1957 and is from Quang Ngai. When he heard about the time of the funeral of the General Secretary, he immediately went to Hanoi to be able to see the General Secretary off on his final journey.People express their respect to the General SecretaryPeople lined up solemnly to pay their respects.Everyone kept order in the National Funeral Home area.
