The path back to the roots, back to the source, back to the sacred ancestral land in the days of March, shining with the green color of change and hope.
I came to the land of the Hung Kings 5 years ago. 5 years - not a long time but enough for me to always wish to return to this sacred land for thousands of years of the Vietnamese people, located on the banks of the poetic and charming Thao River.
From a city that is often jokingly referred to as “4B city – dusty, dirty, small, muddy”, Viet Tri city today has changed dramatically with great changes, becoming a beautiful city of mountains and rivers, very impressive in ecological urban development. Previously, Viet Tri only had one radial road, but now it has four major roads, many spacious high-rise buildings, many beautiful lakes, and many high-rise buildings. The appearance of the city seems to have put on a new coat, which makes me surprised.
The dynamism of the people of the land of the ancestors has contributed to promoting the midland and mountainous land of Phu Tho with new vitality. The lives of people from the city to the countryside have been significantly improved. Many rural districts of the land of the ancestors are like paintings with fresh colors.
The children of the Hung Kings' land today are always proud of the fine cultural traditions of the land of "spiritual land and talented people" and are continuing to promote those traditions. In the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, Phu Tho has been and will make efforts and focus all its efforts to overcome the pandemic. Through this fight, the government and people of the land will be more resilient and breakthrough. That achievement not only contributes to creating a mark for Phu Tho but also affirms the strength of solidarity, the strength of tradition contributing to changing the face of the sacred land of the country's origin.
Phu Tho, the place where the Hung Kings built their great career, is transforming because this place has the convergence of "heavenly time, favorable terrain, and harmony of people". Phu Tho has a long history of construction and development, an important strategic position in the center of the Red River civilization. This is also a place with many historical relics with unique folk culture, a gateway connecting the Northwest region of the Fatherland with the capital Hanoi and the Red River Delta; has convenient waterway and road traffic, located on the Kunming-Hanoi-Hai Phong economic corridor. From ancient times to the present, the land of the ancestors has always been the place where the whole country turns to because as our ancestors have always believed: "No matter where you go, remember the anniversary of the ancestors on the tenth day of the third lunar month".
In the hearts of the children of the ancestral land, the nostalgia for the homeland is deeply felt every March. The morality of drinking water and remembering the source, eating fruit and remembering the person who planted the tree is a beautiful trait imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity that has been passed down from generation to generation. During the revolutionary struggle, Phu Tho was honored and proud to welcome Uncle Ho to visit 9 times and his words to the Vanguard Army at Gieng Temple in the Hung Temple relic site will forever go down in national history as an advice to the next generations: "The Hung Kings have built the country, we must together protect the country". The land and people of Phu Tho today are continuing to write glorious pages of history, heroic songs of the new era.
