Innovate, create breakthroughs and promote exemplary learning and following Uncle Ho's example

On the morning of June 12 in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department held a national conference to evaluate the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle".

Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia attended and directed the Conference.

The conference connected online to more than 4,480 points nationwide with over 20,000 delegates attending.

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the conference at the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee bridge.

Comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; heads of departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province; provincial reporters; Permanent representatives, Heads of the Propaganda Departments of the District Party Committees, City Party Committees, Town Party Committees and Party Committees directly under the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee attended.

Presenting the Summary Report on the results of 2 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Lai Xuan Mon said that in the past 2 years, Party committees and authorities at all levels have issued 106,267 documents to lead, direct and organize the implementation of the Conclusion in conjunction with the implementation of political tasks of localities and units according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels. The new feature in leadership, direction and issuance of documents is to clearly define the content of the work to be done, assign responsibilities to collectives and individuals to perform, progress and completion time, with a proactive and creative spirit, promoting the responsibility of setting an example for the heads of Party committees, localities and units.

Thanks to that, the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style during the first half of the 13th Party Congress continued to be promoted, put into practice, more regularly and substantially, contributing to improving discipline, order, building a clean and strong Party and political system in terms of ideology, politics, morality, organization and cadres, especially building the style, manners and revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members.

Through activities and study sessions, cadres and party members have a deeper understanding of the content and value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; enhance patriotism, self-reliance and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

The conclusion sets out three tasks: studying and following Uncle Ho's example and setting an example. Over the past two years, many innovative and creative models and approaches have emerged in many localities and units, making important contributions to the successful completion of socio-economic, national defense and security targets. As of April 2023, the whole country had 25,525 different models of studying and following Uncle Ho's example.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Lai Xuan Mon emphasized that the outstanding achievements from studying to following Uncle Ho and setting an example clearly demonstrated in the past two years are the Party building work on ethics being promoted, harmoniously combining "building" and "fighting", strictly implementing discipline, order, improving the quality of administrative reform, and civil service culture. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the spirit of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions" has been promoted, focusing on preventing and combating the degradation of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle among cadres and party members. The work of praising, propagating, and replicating typical examples in studying and following Uncle Ho has been innovated and convincing. Inspection and supervision work is focused on, aiming to alert, warn, detect early, promptly prevent violations of Party discipline and State laws, ensuring that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle are carried out seriously, effectively and substantially.

At the Conference, delegates listened to presentations; interacted with advanced models and discussed and evaluated the results of 2 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW at agencies, units and localities; frankly pointed out a number of limitations, difficulties and obstacles, including leadership, direction and organization of implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, the whole-term topics and the year-end topics.

Delegates discussed issues of concern, shared good experiences and creative ways to continue to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW in the new situation.

Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels in leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW.

Based on the achievements as well as the limitations pointed out at the Conference, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department suggested that in the coming time, Party committees at all levels, agencies, units, and Party members need to continue to promote the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW in conjunction with Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (term XI, XII); Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW, dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee; Resolution of the 4th Conference of the 13th Party Central Executive Committee; Regulation No. 37-QD/TW, dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee and other exemplary regulations.

Accordingly, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that Party committees at all levels, agencies and units continue to have a deeper understanding of the organization and implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW. In particular, thoroughly grasp the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on the role and position of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, that is: Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle are invaluable spiritual assets of the Party and people; illuminating the revolutionary cause, guiding every step forward and every victory of the Vietnamese revolution. Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle is a very necessary task, an extremely important, regular and indispensable task for the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people, first of all for Party organizations, State agencies at all levels and cadres and Party members in cultivating, training, dedicating, serving the Fatherland and serving the people.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that Party committees, agencies, units and Propaganda Departments at all levels continue to research, innovate and be creative in propaganda and education and follow Uncle Ho's example in many good and breakthrough ways.

In particular, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the requirement that each cadre and party member, especially the head of the Party Committee and government, must uphold the spirit of exemplary, self-awareness, responsibility, set an example in studying and following Uncle Ho, cultivating and training revolutionary ethics, continuing to do better the three tasks: Studying Uncle Ho, following Uncle Ho and setting an example for cadres and party members, meeting the requirements of building a cadre team with sufficient qualities, capacity, prestige, serving the Fatherland, serving the people and the development of the country in the new period.
