Hoang Duc's team set a record of winning the first leg of the first division

At Thong Nhat Stadium on the evening of February 28, Ninh Binh continued to have an easy victory. In the third minute, Le Hai Duc passed the ball from the left side to the bottom right side. Mach Ngoc Ha ran up and passed the ball inside for Pham Gia Hung to head in and open the score.

In the second half, Hoang Duc crossed the ball from the right sideline into the penalty area for Phan Van Hieu to head into the right corner to double the gap in the 53rd minute. 20 minutes later, Gia Hung completed his double with a close-range tap-in from Dinh Thanh Binh's cross.

The 3-0 victory helped Ninh Binh end the first leg of the First Division this season with a perfect record of 10 wins. The history of the V-League and the First Division has not recorded any team doing as well as Ninh Binh after the first leg. The best record in the V-League belongs to Hanoi FC in 2018 with 11 wins and 2 draws. The best record in the First Division belongs to Ha Tinh in 2019, with 8 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.

Ninh Binh is currently 10 points ahead of the two teams behind, Binh Phuoc and PVF - People's Public Security, but has played one more match. These two chasing teams will face off directly on March 1.

Although there is still a return leg, the 2024-2025 First Division championship is considered difficult to escape from the hands of Ninh Binh - the team that won this title in 2009.
