But now, along with the development of science, technology and the growth of domestic enterprises, many domestic enterprises have paid attention to renovating, upgrading and investing in modern, automated machinery and production lines.

From 2018 to present, Long Hai Company Limited in Hai Duong City has invested nearly 1,000 billion VND to purchase automatic production lines and purchase robot systems for application in production. These include automatic jelly water packaging lines, automatic lines to produce new jelly products, especially automatic coconut processing systems. Currently, the company has 4 automatic robot systems to serve the production and packaging of products.

TBT Garment Company Limited in Thanh Hai Commune (Thanh Ha) specializes in producing women's fashion for export and is a medium-sized garment enterprise in the province. More than ten years ago, when it first started operating, the enterprise used a mechanical machine system. This system was run manually and was not pre-programmed, so the quality of the seams was unstable and depended largely on the user's skills. The machine also did not have thread cutting, buttonhole making, and overlocking features, so users spent more time and effort to complete the finished garment. In recent years, the company has invested in gradually switching to using electronic sewing machines.

Since 2009, RedstarCera Joint Stock Company in Chi Linh City has invested in an automatic tile production line. By 2019, the company continued to invest over 300 billion VND to buy an automatic tile production line specializing in the production of large-sized tiles. A representative of this company said that the company plans to continue investing more in the coming years. The investment in an automatic production line aims to improve the quality of tiles, reduce about 50% of labor at all stages and double the capacity.

Improve production efficiency

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Manager of the Service - Support Workshop of Long Hai Company Limited, investing in an automatic production line machinery system brings great efficiency. Specifically, the automatic jelly water packaging line helps the company reduce more than 100 direct workers, while doubling productivity compared to before. According to Mr. Dung's analysis, previously, the coconut processing stages were all operated manually, the transition between stages had to be put into plastic containers and workers had to carry them, so there was a risk of food safety. In the coconut boiling stage, workers had to do it manually, so when the cooking pot had a high temperature, it could easily cause a risk of labor safety. "Thanks to the application of machinery and automatic production lines, these problems have all been solved. The automatic coconut processing line alone has helped the company save water and labor costs of about 1.7 billion VND per year," said Mr. Dung.

According to Mr. Le Viet Thu, Director of TBT Garment Company Limited, since converting to machinery, the limitations of mechanical sewing machines have been overcome, quality has been improved, defective products have been reduced, and economic efficiency has been higher. Up to now, the company has replaced about 90% of mechanical sewing machines and strives to replace 100% next year.

Fuji Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Cam Giang district specializes in manufacturing and distributing machinery and automatic production lines in industrial production such as automatic glue pumps; mobile wireless engraving machines that can mark industrial products, create permanent, anti-counterfeit signs; automatic oil filter and recovery machines used in metal processing... The company's representative said that the company's customers were mainly foreign enterprises in the past, but recently domestic enterprises have shown more interest and investment. Since the beginning of the year, the company has manufactured 26 production lines and 77 automatic machines, with revenue exceeding the plan by about 15%. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Lan, Deputy Director of Fuji Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. said: "The company aims to contribute to building a sustainable industry with 3 basic characteristics: Environmental protection - Saving time and production costs - Improving 5S in the workplace".

According to many domestic enterprises, investing in modern machinery systems and automation in production helps improve the production efficiency of enterprises, contributing to increasing revenue, reducing costs and minimizing emissions to the environment, contributing towards sustainable production and greening in production.
