The second auction of Mr. Trinh Van Quyet's Rolls-Royce with a starting price of 9.7 billion VND today continued to be unsuccessful due to the lack of participants.

A representative of Minh Phap Joint Stock Auction Company said that the auction of Mr. Trinh Van Quyet's Rolls-Royce could not take place this morning. The reason is that the individuals and units that registered to participate in the auction did not send the deposit in advance within the prescribed time.

Previously, the first auction of this car on October 24 was also unsuccessful for the same reason.

This gold-plated Rolls-Royce Ghost had a starting price of 10 billion VND in the first auction. Then, the starting price was reduced by 300 million VND to 9.7 billion VND in the second auction. According to the regulations, participants must deposit 20% of the property value, or 1.94 billion VND, before 4 p.m. on November 8.

If the third auction is held, the starting price of the vehicle will be decided by the owner of the property to be auctioned (the Auction Law does not specifically stipulate this) and the property auction organization will be notified in writing for each auction.

A representative of Minh Phap Joint Stock Auction Company said that the unit has informed BIDV of the unsuccessful auction results. Whether or not to hold a third auction and when will be decided by the bank.

The car is the collateral for the credit contract between FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company and BIDV. As of the end of February, FLC Faros owed nearly VND186 billion in overdue debt, of which VND177 billion was the principal debt. BIDV Quy Nhon branch seized the car in August due to repeated overdue notices but FLC Faros and the collateral owner, FLCHomes, did not voluntarily repay the debt. The starting price of this Rolls-Royce is only equivalent to more than 5% of FLC Faros' overdue debt at BIDV.

Currently, the gold-plated Rolls-Royce Ghost is located at a car showroom on Ton That Thuyet Street, Hanoi. The car stands out with its plum red paint combined with highlights on the hood, grille, rims, door frames... This super luxury car was manufactured in 2011 in England. The gold-plated car first appeared in Vietnam in 2013, and its license plate was registered in mid-2018.

Previously, the auction of the FLC Albatross yacht with a starting price of nearly VND36 billion on November 4 was also unsuccessful due to lack of participants. Minh Phap Joint Stock Auction Company announced to organize the second auction on November 21 with a starting price reduced to nearly VND34.7 billion.

In the near future, another Rolls-Royce of Mr. Trinh Van Quyet will also be auctioned in Hanoi on November 15. This is the collateral for FLC Land Company's loan at Orient Commercial Bank (OCB).

According to the announcement of Dong Nam Joint Stock Auction Company, the starting price of this car is from 28 billion VND. Those who want to participate in the auction must deposit 5.6 billion VND in advance.
