In particular, many tourism businesses have launched a series of attractive new products, including exploring the pearl island by double-decker bus, basket boat, water sports, feeding fish on the ocean floor, sleeping in tents on the beach, fishing at sea, watching the sunset on a 5-star cruise... Sun Group Corporation has launched a double-decker bus tourism product to serve tourists to experience the journey of viewing Phu Quoc city from above, enjoying the sunshine, wind, and fresh nature.
Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai said that the Department requested Phu Quoc city to strengthen State management of tourism activities, especially in tourist areas, attractions, entertainment areas. At the same time, it is necessary to rectify and strictly handle violations of tourism laws and related regulations to ensure food safety and hygiene, security and safety for tourists, and service quality. Tourism service businesses proactively inspect and review the quality of facilities, techniques and services; publicly post service prices, have appropriate policies to attract tourists, and behave civilly in tourist areas, attractions, entertainment areas, etc. The Department maintains a hotline 0946.350.035 to support and resolve complaints from tourists.
In addition to stimulus measures, Phu Quoc strictly monitors and controls travel agencies, requiring them to only employ qualified tour guides according to regulations. At the same time, organize sightseeing, entertainment and recreation programs to ensure the safety of tourists, especially tours by canoe or boat, and absolutely do not take tourists to dangerous places when the weather is complicated. Tourism businesses with beaches and swimming pools arrange lifeguards and drowning rescuers, place warning signs of unsafe and dangerous locations, and regulate the operating areas of water sports service vehicles.
In the first 8 months of 2024, Phu Quoc is expected to welcome more than 4.52 million visitors, reaching 67.6% of the plan. Of these, 653,525 are international visitors, reaching 98.1% of the yearly plan, with total tourism revenue of more than VND 14,860 billion.

Kien Giang Province and Vietnam Airlines Corporation, together with tourism and travel businesses, are cooperating to develop a plan to operate “Night Flights” to Phu Quoc. This will be a new product of Kien Giang tourism, contributing to stimulating consumer demand, attracting tourists to Phu Quoc, promoting tourism development to Kien Giang and Phu Quoc pearl island.
