Dubbed 'The most beautiful Miss Asia', Huong Giang (from Hai Duong) chooses a quiet, peaceful life.
Self-balance life
The name Huong Giang is known from the title of Miss Hai Duong in 2006. After that, she entered the top 10 Miss Vietnam in 2006, won the title of 2nd runner-up Miss Vietnam Global in 2009, top 16 Miss World in 2009 and was voted the most beautiful Miss Asia by the beauty website Global Beauties.
In 2010, she got married to a Chinese groom named Liu Jia, who worked for an airline with an office in Vietnam. The wedding was held on Phu Quoc beach with only 30 guests from the entertainment industry.
The beauty queen's happiness was complete when she welcomed two new members into the world. Currently, Little Panda is 11 years old and Polar is 8 years old. Both children have many of their mother's beautiful features and can speak English, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
After getting married, Huong Giang stepped back, spending time taking care of her husband and two daughters, and rarely appearing at showbiz events.
The fact that Miss Huong Giang rarely participates in artistic activities to take care of her family makes many audiences regretful. However, the beauty revealed that she feels happy and peaceful with the path she has chosen. "I still get to do the job I love, still participate in artistic activities and spend time with my family and take care of my children. My life like that is more than enough, complete," Huong Giang said.
The mother of two is working in business and management. At the age of 37, Huong Giang is praised for still maintaining her sharp and attractive beauty. In the photos posted about her daily activities, Huong Giang's face always radiates happiness.
Miss Huong Giang is also a familiar face, with experience as a judge for Miss Universe Vietnam for three seasons 2015, 2017 and 2019. At her appearances on the catwalk and at major events, she still shows her charm and attractive appearance, not much different from the time of her coronation.
The beauty from Hai Duong also actively participates in charity activities and non-profit programs to contribute to society, especially caring for children. "I support long-term, professional organizations, so I chose to become an ambassador, then worked officially for 7 years in a medical non-governmental organization - Operation Smile," said Huong Giang.
Family is the foundation
Huong Giang was born in 1987, in Pha Lai ward (Chi Linh city). “The name Giang comes from the Luc Dau Giang river that flows through my hometown. Many people in my family work in the post office, so I moved to many places in the province to live, such as: Ben Tam, Thien market (Chi Linh city); Kim Dinh (Kim Thanh)... When I was in high school, my family settled down in the Kho Do market area (Hai Duong city)”, Huong Giang recounted.
Since childhood, Huong Giang has had an outstanding height like her father. “Every time I cycled to school, even though I pulled the saddle all the way down, my arms and legs were still tangled because I was too tall,” Huong Giang happily recalled.
“People often joke that when I grow up I will compete in a beauty pageant, but honestly, at that time this was not in my mind because I am not someone who is passionate about the spotlight,” she said.
The memories of her time studying in the geography class at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted are the ones that the beauty queen remembers the most. She still remembers the feeling of pride every time she puts on her uniform and ties with the school logo. “I studied in the geography class, although I was placed in block C, for me geography is more about nature and science. In business, my ability to read and understand data comes from my skills in studying economic geography,” the beauty queen said.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, Huong Giang recently shared on her personal page "Proud to be a former student of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted". The status line received many emotions and comments from friends and former teachers. Teacher Nguyen Hoang Dao, 80 years old, in Cam Thuong Ward (Hai Duong City), who taught geography to Huong Giang at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, commented: "The teacher is happy to have a student who is a good beauty queen".
Sharing with Hai Duong Newspaper reporter, teacher Hoang Dao also had fond feelings for Huong Giang: "Giang is a good student, has a humble lifestyle, is loved by teachers and friends".
As for Huong Giang, what makes her proud is that she was born and raised in the studious land of Hai Duong. She said: “The educational environment of the school and family has nurtured me to grow up knowing right from wrong, knowing how to make an effort and always maintaining order. Among them, family is the most important foundation to nurture kindness”. Perhaps this is also the reason why she has been successful in her career but is still a good beauty queen with her relatives and in the hearts of the public.
Huong Giang’s family moved to Ho Chi Minh City 18 years ago, and she has spent most of her time here and abroad. Due to her busy work schedule, she rarely has the opportunity to return to her hometown. “Although I haven’t had many opportunities to return, my hometown is always a beautiful and important part of my memories,” Huong Giang said.
In stories with her children, she often tells about childhood memories, famous landscapes and dishes of Hai Duong.
