Voters of Chi Linh City propose to build a waste treatment plant

At the meeting, many voters reported that the current waste storage and landfill sites are overloaded and recommended that the province and Chi Linh City should soon build a waste treatment plant to ensure environmental sanitation and save land for landfills.

Receiving and responding to voters' recommendations, Comrade Hoang Quoc Thuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Chi Linh City Party Committee, said that Chi Linh City has organized a working delegation to visit the waste-to-energy plant model in Can Tho City. The city has also planned the location and called on businesses to invest in building the plant in Chi Linh City, but so far no unit has invested because it requires a huge amount of capital. Comrade Secretary of the Chi Linh City Party Committee requested that localities and socio-political organizations continue to propagate and mobilize people to classify waste at home; do a good job of collecting and transporting waste to designated places to minimize environmental pollution.

At the conference, there were 12 opinions from voters suggesting that the province and Chi Linh City continue to pay attention to speeding up the issuance of land use right certificates; investing in renovating some inter-residential roads; supporting the consumption of agricultural products; supporting the purchase of health insurance for people aged 75 and over; increasing the allowance level for non-professional workers in villages and residential areas...
