Viglacera Raw Materials Joint Stock Company exploits minerals after the license has expired.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has just verified information related to the illegal mining situation at Truc Thon clay mine in Cong Hoa ward (Chi Linh) of Viglacera Raw Materials Joint Stock Company.

Through inspection at Truc Thon clay mine, it was found that after the license expired, Viglacera Raw Materials Joint Stock Company temporarily suspended mining activities. However, in July 2023, the company transported minerals gathered at Truc Thon clay mine to the factory and transferred some of them for consumption outside. The company still exploited minerals remaining in the Truc Thon clay mine area.

Viglacera Raw Materials Joint Stock Company has admitted these acts and has now stopped activities related to mineral transportation and exploitation.

Currently, the People's Committee of Chi Linh City is assigning the Chi Linh City Police to continue investigating, clarifying and handling violations according to the provisions of law.

Viglacera Raw Materials Joint Stock Company was granted a license by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to exploit ceramic clay in part of the Truc Thon mine reserves in Cong Hoa ward (Chi Linh). The exploitation area is more than 27 hectares, with a reserve of 1.6 million tons and a capacity of 80,000 tons/year; exploitation period until May 12, 2023.
