Previously, the police of Luu Vinh Son commune, Thach Ha district received a report from Mr. Dao Khac Que (born in 1965, residing in Tay Son village, Luu Vinh Son commune) about the loss of 86 million VND in cash.
During the investigation and verification, the authorities quickly identified Hieu as the person who committed the above theft.
Accordingly, Hieu is Mr. Que's son-in-law, however, Hieu and his wife are currently separated.
Around the beginning of May 2023, Hieu brought his two children from Dak Lak to live with his father-in-law at Mr. Que's private house in Luu Vinh Son commune, Thach Ha district to help with the farm. Taking advantage of Mr. Que's absence, Hieu searched the house and took 86 million VND in cash and 2 piggy banks containing savings of the children in the family, totaling 87 million VND.
After "stealing" the money, Hieu put it in a plastic bag with ice, wrapped it tightly with tape and dropped it into the water tank on the roof to hide.
Initially, at the investigation agency, Hieu confessed to all his actions; at the same time, he admitted that due to his large debts, he committed the above theft to get money to pay off the debt.
