The Central Government has agreed to streamline the apparatus to 17 ministries, branches and 5 affiliated agencies.

The Government apparatus for the 2021-2026 term will be streamlined to 14 ministries, 3 ministerial-level agencies and 5 affiliated agencies.

Reduce 5 ministries, 5 agencies under the Government, basically eliminate general departments and equivalents

It is expected that the Government apparatus will have 13 ministries and 4 ministerial-level agencies, reducing 5 ministries and 5 agencies directly under the Government; reducing 12 out of 13 general departments and organizations equivalent to general departments under ministries and ministerial-level agencies.
The National Assembly plans to reduce 4 committees and 1 affiliated agency after streamlining the apparatus.

At the National Conference to disseminate and summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung said that the National Assembly is expected to reduce 4 committees and 1 agency under the National Assembly Standing Committee after streamlining the apparatus.
