According to a survey at some stores and supermarkets in the provinces, rechargeable fan brands have diverse and rich designs. Most of the products are from China, with small single fans priced from 400 - 800 thousand VND/unit. Products from Japan and Korea are quite expensive, from 1.5 - 2 million VND/unit, with some priced up to 5 million VND/unit, depending on the brand, capacity, features and origin of the product.

In addition, there is also a type of fan that uses solar energy on the market, which can use solar batteries as a source of storage and electricity. This type of fan has 2 sockets, 1 socket directly from the grid power source, 1 socket into the solar panel, so it can be used with grid power like a normal fan, and with electricity provided by energy from sunlight.

The fan usually has 3 rotation speeds, integrated with 1 or 2 6V 4.5Ah batteries to convert from solar power stored in the battery, equivalent to 25W of electricity used. However, the worrying thing is that there are currently many rechargeable fan products sold on the market without clear origin. Even on e-commerce platforms, products with all kinds of different prices are sold everywhere, making it difficult for users to recognize.

Use rechargeable fans safely

To use quality products and ensure safety, prevent the risk of fire and explosion when using rechargeable fans, engineer Nguyen Duc Trung, Bach Khoa Refrigeration Center, Hanoi noted that to keep rechargeable fans in particular and other rechargeable products durable, users need to pay attention to charging and maintenance.

When choosing a rechargeable fan, consumers need to carefully consider the battery. Because unlike ceiling fans, standing fans or wall fans that usually only run on electricity, rechargeable fans run mainly on batteries. The capacity of the battery will determine the operating time of the rechargeable fan, the type of battery designed with high capacity will store more electricity and vice versa. You should also limit the choice of multi-function rechargeable fans equipped with additional lights, alarms or clocks... because these features consume a lot of power from the battery, making the battery run out faster.

Each fan has a type of rechargeable battery or accumulator with different parameters, with its own advantages and disadvantages, so users should not arbitrarily replace the fan battery. If you want to replace a new battery for a rechargeable fan, users should carefully consider the technical parameters of that type of battery, and it is best to bring it to reputable places or people who are knowledgeable about machinery, technology... to get the best support.

When using the fan, you should pay attention to the time of plugging in to unplug the power, avoid charging for too long to reduce the battery life. When you first buy the fan, you should charge it continuously for about 12 hours. Then, you use it until the battery is exhausted, then charge it again for 12 hours. Repeat this process 2-3 times, the next time, when the battery indicator light is low, you should charge it immediately, do not wait until it is completely exhausted before charging. If you do not need to use the battery in the fan and plug it directly into the fan, you should remove the battery completely. However, if you do not use the battery for a long time, you should recharge the battery every 1-2 months to increase the battery life.

You should choose rechargeable fan models made from ABS plastic, which is a high-quality plastic with good durability, minimizing cracks during use, especially not producing compounds that are harmful to the user's health. Depending on each type of fan from different brands, the battery charging time and fan usage time are also different. Therefore, when choosing to use a rechargeable fan, you should refer to the product specifications to know the fan usage time as well as the battery charging time. In general, the charging time is about 3 - 15 hours, while the fan usage time can reach 5 hours (for high speed) and 8 - 24 hours (for low speed).

Some other notes when using a rechargeable fan is not to let the battery run out before charging. This can easily reduce the durability of the device. For example, if the fan has a battery that works for 8 hours, then after about 7 hours you should charge it. And remember, unplug the charger when the battery indicator light is full. Do not use the fan while charging, because this will quickly reduce the battery life, and more dangerously, it can easily cause fire or explosion. If you do not use the rechargeable fan for a long time, discharge the battery completely and re-seal the contacts. If you want to use the fan again after a long period of non-use, discharge the battery completely and fully recharge the battery before using.
