National Assembly Chairman attends special art program "Ba Dinh Sunshine"

On the evening of August 27, at the Opera House, Hanoi, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the special art program "Ba Dinh Sunshine" hosted by the People's Representative Newspaper, in coordination with a number of organizations to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).

Attending the program were Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Khac Dinh, Nguyen Duc Hai, Tran Quang Phuong, Nguyen Thi Thanh; Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong; leaders of National Assembly agencies; National Assembly deputies; leaders of central departments, ministries and branches.

In her opening speech, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representative Newspaper, Head of the program's Organizing Committee, stated that 79 autumns have passed since the historic moment of September 2, 1945, when the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was born under the brilliant sunlight of Ba Dinh. That was a sacred moment in history, a turning point for the nation, but it opened an era of Vietnam's lasting independence and freedom. The Declaration of Independence is not only an oath of independence and freedom, but also a desire for happiness for the people, with an undying belief in the country's bright and glorious future, which began 79 autumns ago.

In the autumn spirit of 2024, the "Ba Dinh Sunshine" art program contributes to recreating that historical moment. Thereby, conveying the deep affection and infinite gratitude of posterity to our ancestors, generations of heroic martyrs and generations of our compatriots who were not afraid to sacrifice for an independent Vietnam; for 79 years of courageously overcoming all hardships to build and maintain the era of a free, self-reliant, prosperous, happy, internationally integrated Vietnamese nation and keeping pace with humanity.

“Following 79 revolutionary autumns, facing a new era, overcoming all challenges, we firmly believe that our country will become more and more prosperous, our people will become more and more prosperous, our nation will become more and more prosperous, everlasting, steadily moving towards socialism, successfully realizing the wishes of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the aspirations of the entire nation as General Secretary and President To Lam expected. That flame, in 'Ba Dinh Sunshine', will burn forever in the hearts of every Vietnamese person, worthy of the title of Lac's Children and Hong's Grandchildren,” Editor-in-Chief Pham Thi Thanh Huyen emotionally expressed.

The special art program "Ba Dinh Sunshine" 2024 consists of 3 chapters. Chapter 1: Happy Independence Day; Chapter 2: The South in people's hearts; Chapter 3: Vietnam, let's move forward, directed by People's Artist Quoc Hung.

With songs that have been around for years, the program brought the audience back to those heroic days; paying tribute to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh as well as generations of Vietnamese people who heroically fell to protect the independence, freedom of the nation, and the happiness of the people.

Through the years of history of building and defending the country, the Vietnamese people have proven to the world their strong, enduring and everlasting vitality. Thanks to a common will and determination, since the fall of independence in 1945, Vietnam's position in the international arena has made great strides with many great achievements. The journey of building, protecting, developing and integrating the country is reflected in the report "Vietnam's integration and development."

Through immortal songs, sometimes heroic, sometimes profound, the program's Organizing Committee hopes to arouse national pride, love for homeland and country, and belief in a strong future development of the Fatherland Vietnam.
