Hai Duong City Tax Department creates a map of business households

Convenient tax management

The ceramic and ornamental plant shop at 244 Nguyen Luong Bang Street (Hai Duong City) has been in business since 1992. As business has grown, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Doan, the owner of this shop, has switched from a tax-contracting household to a tax-declaring household. Recently, this shop has been established in the digital map of business households in Hai Duong City. Along with the establishment of the digital map of the shop, this business household has also been instructed by officials of the Hai Duong City Tax Department to install eTax Mobile software.

“By installing eTax Mobile, I can not only proactively monitor the tax incurred and the tax payment results of my store, but also know the tax collection and payment management of the tax authorities throughout the area. We can pay taxes online; at the same time, we are regularly updated with new tax policies, any problems can be reflected directly to the tax authorities through this application,” Mr. Doan shared.

At the headquarters of the Inter-ward Tax Team No. 2 (Hai Duong City Tax Department), many people came to declare, pay taxes, and install eTax Mobile. Team leader Nguyen Thi Nen said that the Inter-ward Tax Team No. 2 is managing taxes for 3,240 business households in 8 wards of Hai Duong City; not to mention the need for guidance on tax declaration for private construction activities, e-commerce... "We are focusing on completing the digital map of business households, and at the same time providing guidance on installing eTax Mobile for business households and households using non-agricultural land," Ms. Nen added.

According to Mr. Vu Dang Khoa, Deputy Head of Hai Duong City Tax Department, digitizing business households is changing the tax management method to move towards professionalism and create convenience for taxpayers. Business household information is stored in "digital" form on the business household digital map function and deployed on the eTax Mobile application. Thanks to that, looking up and responding to tax information is convenient, easy, anytime, anywhere. The inter-connected tax registration procedure should facilitate the issuance of business registration licenses and tax codes.

8/10 revenue increase

In the first 6 months of this year, Hai Duong City Tax Department collected nearly 1,064 billion VND in budget revenue, equal to 87% of the year's estimate and increased by 94% over the same period last year.

Eight out of 10 revenue items reached over 50% of the annual estimate and increased compared to the same period last year. Notably, non-state tax reached 72% of the annual estimate and increased by 24%; revenue from state-owned enterprises reached 77% and increased by 14%; personal income tax exceeded 9% of the annual estimate and increased by 83%... The two items with low revenue rates are non-agricultural land use tax because the collection deadline has not yet come and the 2024 rice land protection fee is included in other budget revenues with a higher assigned estimate than the actual.

During the same period, Hai Duong City had 92 individuals paying 6.67 billion VND in e-commerce tax, higher than the total revenue of the remaining 11 districts, cities and towns. The high budget revenue rate was due to the increase in e-commerce tax in An Thuong, Lien Hong communes, Le Thanh Nghi ward... Some private enterprises with large payments such as FGG Fashion Joint Stock Company paid 11.1 billion VND, 4.3 times higher than the same period last year; Hai Duong Auto Joint Stock Company paid 3.8 billion VND, 2.4 times higher.

The above results were achieved by Hai Duong City in creating a digital map of production and business organizations and individuals, combined with the etax Mobile application. To ensure the completion of the digital map of business households, the Hai Duong City Tax Department reviewed tax codes of business households and individuals. Thereby, hundreds of tax codes with permanent residence outside the area were discovered and handled; lack of uniform personal identification...

By July 1, Hai Duong City had established accounts on the business household digital map for 6,591 households paying fixed tax according to the directory, reaching a rate of 100%, including households below the tax payment threshold; successfully installed eTax Mobile for 78.3% of fixed tax households.

Hai Duong City has 322 businesses and business households registered to use electronic invoices generated from cash registers. In the past 6 months, only 77.3% of businesses and business households have implemented and used 1,025,758 invoices. Hai Duong City Tax Department strives to increase this rate to over 90% in July 2024.
