Previously, at around 11:20 a.m. the same day, DA was taken to Hai Duong General Hospital in a coma, with many burns on his body. There were burn marks on his thighs and 2 calves, and a burn mark on his right chest suspected to be caused by electricity.

Here, doctors placed an endotracheal tube on a ventilator, took chest and brain scans but found no significant damage. Doctors diagnosed that the patient may be in a coma due to suffocation and lack of oxygen.

Due to the large burn area, nearly 20% of the body, and coma, the patient was transferred to the National Burn Hospital for treatment.

DA is the second child of Ms. BTH (born in 1994), the owner of the burnt rice shop in Quang Thanh commune at noon on May 28.

Ms. H. and her ex-husband have two children, D.THV (born in 2009) and D.DA.

Currently, Ms. H. has built a family with a Chinese man, a worker at the Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant. On May 27, V. came from Quang Ninh to Kinh Mon to celebrate his birthday.

At the time of the fire, there were 5 people in the house, including: Ms. H., Ms. BTL (Ms. H.'s younger sister), Ms. NTQ (born in 1972, hired worker), 2 children D.THV and D.DA.

Authorities suspect a gas leak in the kitchen area during cooking at the kiosk caused the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

At noon of the same day, leaders of Kinh Mon Town People's Committee, representatives of departments, branches and organizations visited, encouraged and supported the family of the fire victim with 30 million VND.
