The army's specialized ferry carrying vehicles and people across the Red River (near Phong Chau Bridge, Phu Tho) will temporarily stop operating after 2 days of operation.

In recent days, due to the high water level of the Red River and the strong current, Brigade 249, Engineering Corps was forced to cut the pontoon bridge to ensure the safety of people and equipment.

From 6:00 a.m. on September 30, the 249th Engineer Brigade officially opened the Phong Chau pontoon bridge connecting the two banks of the Red River in Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts (Phu Tho), serving immediate travel needs.
What vehicles are allowed to pass through Phong Chau pontoon bridge?
On the morning of September 30, the Phong Chau pontoon bridge built by Brigade 249 (Engineering Corps) was officially opened to traffic. The pontoon bridge is about 400m downstream of the Red River from the Phong Chau bridge that collapsed on September 9.

On the afternoon of September 28, in Huong Non commune, Tam Nong district, Phu Tho province, the 249th Engineering Brigade (Engineering Corps) launched 12 canoes and 26 offshore platforms to prepare for the installation of 60-ton MP pontoon bridges.
It is strictly forbidden to film or take photos when engineers build Phong Chau pontoon bridge.
To ensure safety and security when the authorities build a pontoon bridge across the river, it is strictly forbidden to film, record, or gather in large crowds that could affect the performance of the engineering force's duties.
