The Cam Giang district military recruitment investigation team investigated the military recruitment source in Cam Doai commune.

Cam Doai is a small commune, bordering Hai Duong City. Every year, the number of young men eligible to join the army is not much. To proactively source, the Commune Military Command coordinates with the Commune Police and village chiefs and deputy village chiefs to grasp and strictly manage the quantity and quality of the source ready to join the army on the population data management system and directly at families, villages and hamlets. The villages grasp the movements of each young man of the right age, promptly update and report to the Commune Military Service Council to make a monitoring list.

Cam Doai Commune also assigned responsibilities to each Party Committee member, People's Committee member and members of the Commune Military Service Council responsible for monitoring and grasping the recruitment sources of each village. Any village that misses recruitment sources will be considered for emulation at the end of the year. Up to now, through registration and review, the whole commune has 187 young people of military age, of which 142 young people are exempted from deferment and 45 young people are ready to join the army. Currently, 100% of the young people ready to join the army are present in the locality.

In 2023, Duc Chinh commune was assigned 14 youth enlistment quotas. Thanks to proactively ensuring resources, the commune assigned 16 youths to military units, exceeding the quota by 2. Comrade Pham Van Tan, Commander of Duc Chinh Commune Military Command, said that the local military recruitment work in recent years has encountered many difficulties due to the large number of young people of university and college age, some of whom are working abroad, and the rest working as workers in industrial parks.

To ensure the source of military recruitment, since July, the Duc Chinh Commune Military Command has coordinated with the police, judiciary, and villages to review and make a list of young people of military age. The commune then organizes the classification of each group of young people: those temporarily deferred, those eligible to be present and those not present in the locality to have a way to manage and supervise. The commune also established a working group to go to each village, hamlet, and each family with citizens of military age to compare and verify. Any cases present in the locality, working far away, or studying in high school are all well-known by the working group; proactively coordinate with families, village chiefs, and village team leaders to have appropriate propaganda and mobilization measures.

Proactively building up the source is one of the important steps in the military recruitment work. Understanding this, from the very beginning, the Military Command of Cam Giang district advised the Party Committee and the district government to direct the communes and towns to do a solid job right from the stage of reviewing, registering, and managing the source of soldiers ready to join the army. The communes and towns in the district organized a general census of the source of soldiers for all young men aged 18-27 with permanent residence in the locality, including young men who graduated from college and university and had their military service deferred by the District Military Service Council in previous years.

After reviewing all young people of the right age, the Military Service Council of the communes closely coordinates with the District Source Re-Inspection Team to re-inspecte each specific case. The re-inspection is carried out on the list of records and directly at each village, hamlet, and family. For young people going to work abroad, the district requires the locality to provide the young person's residence card to prove that each case is studying or working abroad. In the case of young people with a local household registration but absent from the area for many years, the district also requires the commune to specifically re-verify each case to include them in the military recruitment source, avoiding missing sources...

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Quyet, Deputy Commander of the Cam Giang District Military Command, the re-examination of the district's military recruitment sources has been basically completed. Through the re-examination, the whole district has about 5,000 young men of military age, of which more than 1,000 young men are subject to military service, the rest are deferred or exempted. It is expected that in early October, the district will organize the review of citizens subject to military service. The work of reviewing, grasping the source, and re-examining the source is carried out seriously and methodically by the district. During the re-examination and actual inspection process, it was discovered that a number of young men completed procedures to transfer for military service but did not attend the schools as registered. To handle the matter, the re-examination team requested localities to verify and promptly supplement the list of military recruitment sources...
