Hives is a common skin allergy that occurs in cold weather. The disease can last from a few minutes to a few hours and recur many times a day when exposed to cold.

Oriental medicine often calls hivescold, hidden diagnosis, cold diagnosis. Illness can be caused by a decline in the body's resistance, an imbalance of yin and yang, dysfunction of internal organs... or by external pathogens that invade the body when the body is weakened and cause illness.

Typical symptoms of the disease are the sudden appearance of rashes on the skin, raised above the skin surface, with clear boundaries, light pink in color, lighter in the middle, in spots, in clusters, round or zigzag, varying in size and number at times, limited to certain areas or spread all over the body. The more you scratch, the redder and itchier the rash becomes.

Folklore often uses hot roasted rice bran, wrapped in a cloth and gently rubbed on the rash areas.

In mild cases, the rash only appears for a few minutes, then disappears, leaving no trace. This is mild acute urticaria. In this case, you may only need to drink plenty of water and avoid going out in cold weather. You should wear warm clothes. Folklore often uses hot roasted rice bran, wrapped in a cloth and gently rubbed on the rash areas.

Oriental medicine uses appropriate medicine based on specific symptoms.
