More than 50 American businesses in many fields such as defense, pharmaceuticals, technology... will come to Vietnam to explore investment and business opportunities next week, according to a list obtained by Reuters news agency.

The event, organized by the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), will feature representatives from many large US businesses such as Boeing, SpaceX and Netflix.
"This is the largest delegation ever to come to Vietnam," Mr. Vu Tu Thanh, USABC representative in Vietnam, told the British news agency.
According to Mr. Thanh, aerospace companies Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Bell will have meetings with a number of Vietnamese defense enterprises.
Last December, during the International Defense Exhibition in Hanoi, American companies had some discussions with the Vietnamese side about the possibility of selling some defense equipment.
"Helicopters are one of the things that companies hope to sell to Vietnam," Thanh added, but said such deals would take a long time to complete.
With a population of 100 million, Vietnam also has a rapidly growing consumer market as its middle class expands.
Last month, Reuters also reported that streaming giant Netflix is planning to open an office in Vietnam.
Boeing confirmed that it will join the delegation to Vietnam and said it will have discussions with Vietnam to strengthen the increasingly close partnership, as well as ways to enhance Vietnam's aviation and defense capabilities.
Most of the companies participating in the business delegation already have operations or manufacturing in Vietnam and plan to expand. They include Apple, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.
According to Mr. Thanh, some companies are particularly interested in Vietnam as a manufacturing and service center for increasingly wealthy consumers as GDP here reaches more than 8% by 2022.
SpaceX is reportedly looking to sell its satellite internet service to Vietnam and other countries in the region.
The US delegation will also include semiconductor companies, pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, medical device maker Abbott, financial companies Visa and Citibank, and Internet and cloud computing companies Meta and Amazon Web Services.
