Guard Command launches 2 elite special platoons

Commander Tran Hai Quan presented the decision and flowers to congratulate the 2 elite special platoons.

This is an important content according to the roadmap for implementing Resolution No. 286, dated November 11, 2021 of the Party Committee of the Guard Command on leading the building of a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Special Forces Regiment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tran Hai Quan, Commander of the Guard Command, emphasized that on October 1, 2021, the Minister of Public Security issued a Decision stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Special Task Force Regiment under the Guard Command.

This is the special attention and strategic vision of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security for the development and growth of the Guard force, determined to build the first Special Task Force Regiment of the People's Public Security force to be a truly strong and especially elite force to carry out combat missions; promptly prevent terrorist activities, assassinations, riots, hostage taking, etc.; absolutely protect the safety of the guard subjects, not to be passive or surprised in any situation.

To successfully complete all assigned tasks, Commander Tran Hai Quan requested officers and soldiers of the Special Task Force Regiment to deeply understand the situation, tasks, and difficulties and challenges that are directly affecting the security work, absolutely not to be subjective and lose vigilance, and to constantly train and strive.

Party committees and unit commanders must strengthen political and ideological education; promote Party and unit building; strengthen internal solidarity, improve leadership capacity and fighting strength; focus on building a contingent of cadres and soldiers who are politically steadfast, professionally skilled, have strong political will, good moral qualities, and a strict sense of organization and discipline to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

At the Ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Van Tiec, Commander of the Special Task Force Regiment, said that in order to prepare for the establishment of two elite special platoons, the unit has proactively reviewed and improved the command team at the platoon and squad levels and selected officers and soldiers with political courage, courage, and bravery, who have been trained in special task force techniques and tactics, are healthy, have talent, and meet the standards and criteria,... to supplement the two elite special platoons of Special Task Force Company 1 and Special Task Force Company 2.
