This afternoon, September 20, both SJC gold bar and gold ring brands suddenly increased sharply. While the price of SJC gold bars exceeded 82 million VND/tael, the price of gold rings also officially set an all-time high record of over 80 million VND.
At 3:30 p.m., Saigon Jewelry Company, Doji Company and Phu Quy Company announced the buying price of SJC gold at VND80 million/tael and the selling price at VND82 million/tael, an increase of VND200,000/tael compared to the morning session.
Similarly, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed the price of plain round gold rings at 79.23-80.33 million VND/tael (buy/sell), an increase of 1.15 million VND/tael. Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.0 round gold rings at 79.10-80.20 million VND, an increase of 700,000 VND/tael compared to the morning session. Thus, the price of gold rings has set a new record high ever.
In the world, the price of gold increased sharply by 20 USD/ounce compared to the morning session, currently fluctuating around 2,606 USD/ounce. This price when converted is equivalent to 78 million VND/tael, about 4 million VND/tael cheaper than the domestic SJC brand.
Regarding exchange rates, this morning the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on September 19 at 24,148 VND/USD, down 19 VND.
With a margin of +/-5%, this morning, BIDV Bank listed the USD exchange rate from 24,380-24,740 VND/USD, down 35 VND compared to the previous closing price. Eximbank also decreased by 50 VND, currently this bank is trading around 24,380-24,740 VND/USD.
Vietcombank adjusted down 10 VND, currently this bank is trading around 24,370-24,740 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, VietinBank remained unchanged, with the company announcing rates from 24,410-24,750 VND/USD.
