According to initial investigation results, recently, the Economic Police Department - Dak Lak Provincial Police discovered that a number of subjects in the group "Southern Bean Sprouts Association" and "Bean Sprouts Association" had signs of violating regulations on food hygiene and safety.

Immediately afterwards, the Economic Police Department simultaneously inspected 6 bean sprout production facilities of 4 subjects Lam Van Dao, Vu Duy Tu, Nguyen Van Quynh and Nguyen Van Hao.

During the inspection, the police discovered that in addition to using ingredients such as green beans, lime, and well water, these 6 establishments also used a colorless liquid that the group often exchanged slang with each other online as "candy" water during the bean sprout production process.

The police determined that this is the active ingredient 6-Benzylaminopurine, which is not on the list of pesticides allowed for use in food production and the list of pesticides allowed for use in Vietnam.

This is a cell growth stimulant (cytokinin), if introduced into the body will have adverse effects on human health.
