On July 11, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee organized a ceremony to present 820 life jackets to owners of 59 ferry, ferry, and river passenger wharves in the province.
Leaders of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and Chi Linh City presented life jackets to the owner of Van ferry connecting Tan Dan ward (Chi Linh) with Quang Thanh commune (Kinh Mon).
Along with that, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with localities to propagate to vehicle owners and people to strictly comply with regulations to ensure safety of waterway traffic.
The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee also requested local authorities and functional forces to increase propaganda, inspection, and remind vehicle owners and people to strictly wear life jackets when crossing ferries.
