Poem about the river

Without rivers, the fields become deserts.

The land is exhausted and does not have enough water to feed the plants.

No water, the folk song dies of thirst

Parents' faces were withered and thin.

Please do not blame the river for the distance

Let the couple use the strip of their bib to build a bridge.

Long distance love, the river has many waiting docks

Which song still waits for each other?

The river carries many boats up and down

Bringing fish, shrimp, rice to hundreds of regions

Full sails, light wind, flying like a song

The moonlit night the driver watched the peace.

The river silently forgets itself for the country

Bring alluvium to nourish the thin fields

Fresh water for rice is a girl's daughter.

The river never rests.

No one thought the river would become a battlefield.

Our Vietnamese land has thousands of big and small rivers.

Like pink blood vessels that nourish the body to grow

The river carries half the country's burden.

But forever simple and peaceful.
