On the morning of December 8, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police informed that it had just clarified the case of 3 employees of Roy Lounge hiding illegal drugs.
At around 11:45 p.m. on December 5, in front of Roy Lounge at 86 Pham Van Dong Street (Hai Duong City), the security guard of the restaurant discovered Pham Thi Yen (born in 1995, in Ngoc Chau Ward, Hai Duong City), a waitress of the restaurant, walking out to an area near the restaurant. When she returned, Yen was holding an object suspected to be a banned substance, so she was asked to bring it for inspection.
Upon inspection, the security guard discovered that Yen was holding 10 tablets and 2 bags containing a white crystalline substance. Yen claimed that it was drugs and then left the scene. The security guard reported the incident to Hai Duong City Police.
Through examination, it was determined that the total amount of evidence seized from Yen was 4,748 grams of synthetic drugs.
Conducting an extended investigation, the City Police Investigation Agency clarified that Yen, Nguyen Thanh Trung (born in 1989, residing in Nguyen Trai ward, Hai Duong city) and Nguyen Van Quan (born in 1999, residing in An Luu ward, Kinh Mon town), all employees of the restaurant, had together purchased the above drugs to bring into the restaurant for use.
On December 7, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Yen, Trung, and Quan for illegal possession of drugs.
