The Hanoi City Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Force determined that a mother and her three children had died after being trapped in a fire in Tu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district.
According to initial information, at about 5:45 p.m. on October 26, a fire broke out in Dong village (Tu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi).
Witnesses said that at the time of the incident, there was an explosion accompanied by a blue light coming from the scrap metal shop.
"At that time, the force was so strong that the two people on the motorbike fell onto the road. One person was severely burned and ran out of the fire," said the male witness.
The witness also said that the male victim ran outside and shouted for his wife and children to run away, but no one came out. According to this person, there were normally four people in this family.
After searching, authorities determined that three mothers and children died in the fire, including a 4-year-old child and a 6th grader.
At nearly 7 p.m., the search and rescue process ended. Police continued to block off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
