1st ritual of autumn festival held

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luong Van Cau, delegates, locals, and visitors hold the incense offering ceremony

This was the first ritual begining a series of activities of this year's autumn festival.

In a sacred space, Mr. Luong Van Cau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Board of the 2018 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, representatives of leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Chi Linh provincial town, the Con Son – Kiep Bac Relic Management Board, and the Hung Dao Commune People's Committee, locals, and numerous visitors carried out the ceremony in accordance with traditional rites.

The delegates respectfully offered vegetarian and meaty feasts and other items to altars in front of Bac house, in the back shrine of Saint Tran temple, etc. to ask permission to open the festival, pray for the nation's peace, people's safety, good weather, bumper crops, etc.

The Con Son – Kiep Bac Relic Management Board said on September 19 morning, about 5,000 visitors flocked to the two relics for sightseeing and worshipping, an increase of 2,000 arrivals against the same period last year.
