Many interesting activities at Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival

Incense offering and proclamation ceremonies (to open the temple and begin the festival) are to take place on the morning of September 8 (i.e. the 10th day of the 8th lunar month) at Kiep Bac temple.
A trance performance festival is scheduled for the evening of September 13 (i.e. the 15th day of the 8th lunar month) in the yard of Kiep Bac temple.
On September 14 (i.e. the 16th day of the 8th lunar month), there will be three notable activities, namely an incense offering ceremony from 6.30 am at Con Son pagoda, procession and offering ceremonies from 8 am at Nguyen Trai and Tran Nguyen Dan temples, and a seal opening and seal mark granting ceremony from 10 pm in the inner zone and the front worship hall of Kiep Bac temple.
Taking place on September 15 (i.e. the 17th day of the 8th lunar month) are a ceremony to open the festival and celebrate the 719th death anniversary of Hung Dao Great Lord Tran Quoc Tuan on a stage by the Luc Dau river and an army festival on the river at 8 am.
On September 16 (i.e. the 18th day of the 8th lunar month), there will be a worshipping ritual to pray for peace at 4 pm by the Luc Dau river and a colored lantern festival from 9 pm on the river.
Scheduled for the morning of September 18 (i.e. the 20th day of the 8th lunar month) are procession and offering ceremonies, a ceremony to mark the death anniversary of Saint Tran at Kiep Bac temple and on Mam Xoi mountain, etc.
To date, the road and landscape behind Kiep Bac temple have been renovated spaciously, cleanly, and beautifully.
The Relic Management Unit built embankments by the road, about 100 m long, to the yard behind the temple and planted 28 posts of bougainvillea on both sides of the road, below which are portulaca grandiflora, tradescantia spathacea, etc.
In the yard covering more than 10,000 ha behind Kiep Bac temple are trees and base stones laid to form a spacious and airy parking.
The highlight of the precinct is a semicircular flower garden covering more than 1,000 m2 with 86 sago palms.
