Opening ceremony of Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival to be broadcast live

It is expected that about 1,000 Central and local delegates and a crowd of locals and visitors will attend the ceremony.

As one of important contents of this year's festival, the ceremony will be broadcast live by the Hai Duong Radio and Television.

At the ceremony, a representative of the Provincial People's Committee will deliver the festival opening speech; the head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha's Executive Board will proclaim the biography and career of Venerable Huyen Quang, the 3rd patriarch of Truc Lam Zen; and the delegates will offer incense.

The opening ceremony will end with a 30-minute musical show themed Ve Noi Nhan Kiet Dia Linh (Coming to the Land of Extraordinary People).

The 2019 Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival is taking place from February 14 – 27 (i.e. the 10th – 23rd day of the 1st lunar month).

Aside from maintaining attractive contents of last year's festival, the Lien Hoa Hoi Thuong (Lotus Assembly) ritual will be restored after one year of interruption and a bell casting ceremony will be held at Con Son pagoda.
