Hanoi Medical University bans students from wearing short skirts and see-through clothing
Students of Hanoi Medical University who wear see-through clothing, short pants, low-waisted skirts, tank tops, sandals without back straps, or brightly dyed hair... will have their training points deducted or be disciplined.

Hanoi Medical University has just announced the dress code for students during study, practice and participation in planned activities of the school at locations inside and outside the school.
On April 24, Associate Professor Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Vice Principal, said this was the first time the school had issued regulations on student dress.
Accordingly, students are not allowed to wear dirty, sloppy, see-through, offensive drawings or writings, which are not suitable for the educational environment and contrary to good customs and regulations of the law.
Students are also not allowed to wear shorts, skirts that expose the knees, low-rise pants, or ripped jeans; low-cut, sleeveless, or waist-length shirts; sandals without back straps; or brightly colored hair.
If a student violates the rules, they will lose 1-3 points for each time. Depending on the severity, they will also be subject to disciplinary action, ranging from reprimand to warning in front of the entire school.
The above regulations apply not only to students during their time at school, but also to other activities outside such as hospitals and practice facilities. In addition, the school also stipulates uniforms when students participate in events.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung, this is to build a standard style, sense of discipline, and professional demeanor for students - future doctors and medical staff.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tung said the above requirements are based on the 2015 regulations of the Ministry of Health on uniforms for medical practitioners, workers, students, trainees, and interns.
This is also in line with the school's orientation on training innovation, bringing students to clinical practice early, enhancing experience.
In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Tung said that the above regulation also contributes to building school culture, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Although this is the first time the regulation has been issued, in reality, Hanoi Medical University always requires and reminds students to wear appropriate clothing for activities, such as when going to practice facilities or going on field trips outside, medical students must wear white blouses.
Some other universities also have dress codes for students. For example, at Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 (Vinh Phuc), since 2014, students have been required to wear polite, neat, and discreet clothing, with no flashy dyed hair, and if wearing a T-shirt, it must have a collar and polite sleeves.
