On the afternoon of March 24, Ms. Duong Thi Ngoc Quynh (Hoang Mai district, Hanoi) said that on March 23, she sent a petition to the police to denounce Einstein Academy Kindergarten about her 3-year-old son being abused by a teacher while attending school.

In the petition, Ms. Quynh said that her son was studying in the Moon Reggio class with the homeroom teacher and two other teachers. "From March 10 to 17, when I picked him up, I saw that he was showing signs of panic when talking about class. He was scared, did not want to go to school and said 'the teachers beat me'. I asked him carefully and he said that the teachers in the class beat him many times. On March 17, after my grandfather talked and asked him, the teachers admitted that they had beaten my son but lightly because he lacked life skills and hoped that the parents and family would sympathize so that the teachers could continue to teach him," Ms. Quynh recounted.

According to this parent, on March 19, she went to the school to meet the school administrator. This administrator said she did not know about the incident and affirmed that she would never allow students to be beaten. Immediately after that, Ms. Quynh filed a request for the school to extract the camera footage.

"In the extracted camera, I could only see the classroom and restroom on March 18. On March 20, I went to Mai Dong Ward Police to report. At that time, the school extracted the full camera but still firmly denied that the teacher beat my child. When I watched the camera, I saw my child and other classmates being beaten continuously. This caused my child to suffer psychological trauma and was very afraid to go to school. He always said that when he went to school, the teachers beat him very painfully and I had to take him to see a psychological trauma doctor," Ms. Quynh said indignantly.

The mother believed that the behavior of the Moon Reggio class teacher violated the code of conduct and ethics for teachers in kindergarten. Therefore, she sent a complaint to the authorities, requesting that it be considered and resolved.

On the afternoon of March 24, speaking with reporters, a representative of Einstein Academy Kindergarten (headquartered in Mai Dong ward, Hoang Mai district) admitted that a school teacher had slapped the child as reported by Quynh's parents.

This person said that after receiving the information, the school and the family brought the matter to the authorities to request clarification. Next, the school forced the three teachers who taught Ms. Quynh's children to quit their jobs. However, the teachers still had to cooperate with the authorities to resolve the matter.

"We consider this an unfortunate incident because the head teacher has worked at the school for many years but still has substandard actions. On the family's side, we have also apologized to the parents. The incident was partly the school's fault. We will seriously learn from our experience and resolutely not let such incidents happen again," said a representative of the Anh-Xtanh Academy Kindergarten.

According to information on the website, Einstein Academy Kindergarten is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of building N02, New Horizon apartment building, 87 Linh Nam (Mai Dong, Hoang Mai). The school has an area of nearly 2,000 m2, with 16 classrooms.
