Man dies, suspected of jumping from 7th floor of hospital

The 39-year-old man was found dead lying face down on the lawn of Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital.

On March 23, Tra Vinh Provincial Police initially reported on the case of a man suspected of jumping from the building of the Provincial General Hospital onto the lawn and dying.

Accordingly, at around 4:30 a.m. the same day, security guards at Tra Vinh General Hospital discovered Mr. NVQ (39 years old, residing in Cang Long district) dead in a prone position on the lawn of area D of the hospital, so they shouted and reported to the police.

Mr. Q. was hospitalized 10 days ago, being treated for liver, kidney and diabetes. Early this morning, his family discovered that he was not in the treatment room and searched for him. Later, the victim was found dead.

Police determined that Mr. Q. died of multiple injuries. Upon examining the scene, police discovered footprints suspected to be from the victim climbing onto the 7th floor railing, which was directly facing the ground, where the victim lay dead.

Authorities determined that the victim jumped from the 7th floor onto the lawn, leading to his death.

The police have handed over the victim's body to the family for burial.
