Opening ceremony of Cao An Lac Temple (Chi Linh)

On the morning of February 20 (January 23), at the Ca Temple in the Cao Temple relic complex, An Lac ward, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Chi Linh City held the opening ceremony of the traditional Cao Temple festival in 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of Chi Linh city, leaders of Ha Long town, Ha Trung district (Thanh Hoa) - the hometown of the father and mother of the 5 Saints of the Vuong family, along with many people and tourists from all over.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Linh City Nguyen Tuan Hung read the opening speech, reviewing the tradition of the land of talented people, expressing gratitude for the merits of King Le Dai Hanh and the five Saints of the Vuong family and the history of the formation of the Cao An Lac Temple relic complex.

Every year on January 23, the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Chi Linh City organize the Cao Temple Festival to commemorate the merits of the Saints and at the same time educate the younger generation about traditions.

After more than 1,000 years of history, the temples worshiping the 5 Saints of the Vuong family are still majestic and silent in the spiritual cultural space of An Lac. Along with that are 12 royal decrees, jade genealogies, hundreds of horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, and large characters praising the heroic lives and careers of the 5 Saints of the Vuong family and the historical sites of the An Lac headquarters, contributing to King Le Dai Hanh and the army and people of Dai Co Viet to recreate a Bach Dang and create a Chi Lang in the 10th century.

The festival lasts until February 21. In addition to the ceremony, there are other cultural and sports activities including folk games such as tug of war, sack race, ball passing, blindfolded drumming, cultural exchange, traditional wrestling, etc.
