The first 9 scientists received the Khue Van Cac Award
Nine young scientists under 35 years old, with outstanding achievements in the field of social sciences and humanities, were awarded the Khue Van Cac Prize in the first time this award was held.
According to the announcement on November 12 of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the awardees come from 6 groups of fields, including Law, Education, Economics, Culture - Art, Philosophy - Political Science - Sociology, History - Archeology - Ethnology - Anthropology; each group has 1-2 representatives.
The youngest person to receive the award is Dr. Ly Viet Truong, 30 years old, working at the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The organizers said that all nine scientists have a solid research record with many international publications and works of high scientific value, solving practical problems of society. Each person received the "Creative Youth" badge, the Khue Van Cac cup and cash.
Khue Van Cac is an award organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, dedicated to scientists aged 35 and under, working in the field of social sciences and humanities. The award aims to motivate, inspire and promote the movement of studying, researching and applying achievements in social sciences and humanities, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources in this field.
In the first year of the organization, there were 55 applications from 31 participating agencies after two months of launching. Of which, Economics had the most applications - 18, and the interdisciplinary field of Philosophy - Political Science - Sociology had 13.
Of the 55 candidates for the award, 25 have doctoral degrees, 15 have masters, 12 have bachelors and 3 are students. Most of the candidates are working in Vietnam, 2 are working in Russia and the UK. In terms of age, the number of candidates under 30 accounts for more than 30%, the youngest was born in 2004.
