On September 4, as soon as there was information that storm No. 3 directly affected Hai Duong, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requested members who are officials, civil servants, and workers under the Provincial Irrigation Sub-Department Office located on Nguyen Van To Street to be on duty at 100% of their staff.Members are assigned specific tasks and duties to advise the Command Committee in directing timely and effective response to storm No. 3.The leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will work with the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue to directly direct and handle tasks under their authority related to the response to storm No. 3 and post-storm floods. For issues beyond their authority, they will promptly report and ask for instructions from higher levels.The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue is also the focal point for updating information on rain, storms, floods, and response work in localities.From September 4-14, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee advised on the issuance of 17 dispatches to respond to storm No. 3 and the floods after the storm. In addition, the office continuously updated reports on the province's natural disaster prevention situation, prepared documents for the extraordinary meetings of the Provincial People's Committee and the Steering Committee on responding to rain, storms and floods.
