The ceremony was absent from two cabinet members from the Thai Pride Party (Bhumjaithai) and both Deputy Interior Ministers, Mr. Songsak Thongsri and Ms. Sabeeda Thaised, because both had COVID-19.

Bhumjaithai Party leader Anutin Charnvirakul - who is also deputy prime minister and home minister - confirmed the test results of the two members and said he would take over their responsibilities until they recover and can take the oath.
