SJC gold price maintains the 80 million VND mark, central exchange rate remains unchanged
Domestic gold prices remained stable on the morning of the weekend of August 16, in which the SJC brand at businesses announced at 80 million VND/tael and the selling price of gold rings was around 77.7 million VND.

At 9:00 a.m. on August 16, Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.0 round gold rings at 76.45-77.7 million VND/tael. Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of plain round gold rings was listed at 76.52-77.72 million VND/tael (buy/sell), unchanged from the previous closing price. Previously, this morning, the price of gold rings at the two above companies decreased by 150,000-160,000 VND/tael.
Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold continues to remain stable. Specifically, Doji Company, Phu Quy Company and Saigon Jewelry Company all announced the buying price at 78 million VND/tael and the selling price at 80 million VND/tael. The most recent adjustment was on May 13, when this brand increased by 1.5 million VND/tael.
In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,458 USD/ounce, up 4 USD/ounce compared to the same time last session. This price when converted is equivalent to 74.7 million VND/tael.
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on August 16 at 24,254 VND/USD, stable compared to August 15.
With a margin of +/-5%, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate from 24,890-25,230 VND/USD and Vietinbank bought at 24,850 VND/USD and sold at 25,290 VND/USD, both remaining stable.
However, at BIDV, the buying and selling prices ranged from 24,872-25,212, down 18 VND/USD, while Agribank announced from 24,880-25,220 VND/USD, up 30 VND compared to the previous closing price.
