The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will investigate 3,400 enterprises on wage implementation this year to serve as a basis for considering adjusting the regional minimum wage in 2025. Hai Duong is one of the eight regions being investigated.

The regions in the salary survey list include: the Red River Delta (Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc); the Northeast (Quang Ninh); the Northwest (Hoa Binh); the North Central region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An); the South Central Coast (Da Nang, Khanh Hoa); the Central Highlands (Dak Lak); the Southeast region (Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai province, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province); the Mekong Delta (Long An, Can Tho city).
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will conduct a survey on labor and wages in enterprises in 18 provinces and centrally-run cities representing 8 economic regions of the country. These localities have a large number of enterprises and developed labor markets.
The survey subjects include 3,400 enterprises; employees in different positions working at the enterprises. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs collects information on the production situation, labor business, and wages in enterprises.
The survey aims to provide a basis for adjusting the minimum wage in 2025 according to the activities of the National Wage Council. The survey results are also to serve the management work, periodically announcing the average wage level in the labor market for businesses and employees to refer to as a basis for salary negotiations.
Previously, on June 30, the Government issued Decree 74/2024/ND-CP stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts. From July 1, the monthly minimum wage for employees by region includes: Region I at VND 4,960,000/month; Region II at VND 4,410,000/month; Region III at VND 3,860,000/month; Region IV at VND 3,450,000/month.
The minimum hourly wage for employees working for regional employers has also been adjusted to increase, specifically: Region I is 23,800 VND/hour; Region II is 21,200 VND/hour; Region III is 18,600 VND/hour; Region IV is 16,600 VND/hour.
