Dong Viet Bridge with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND connecting Bac Giang - Hai Duong provinces, constructed by Thuan An Company in conjunction with other contractors, is about to be completed and put into use.
The Dong Viet Bridge project has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND from the Bac Giang provincial budget and local government bonds. The project is invested by the Bac Giang Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works.The bridge is constructed by a joint venture of Thuan An Construction and Trade Development Joint Stock Company - Trung Chinh Construction and Trade Company Limited - 168 Vietnam Construction Investment and Import-Export Joint Stock Company.The project started in June 2022 and was completed last May. After more than 2 years of construction, the bridge is now almost completed and will be technically opened to traffic in September this year as planned.This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Giang province. The bridge was built across the Thuong River to connect Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces.Dong Viet Bridge is over 730m long, reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete structure, design load HL93, bridge deck width 22.5m; abutments, bridge piers are made of reinforced concrete placed on bored pile foundation system. The main bridge consists of 2 cable-stayed spans, one flat surface, the approach bridge consists of 14 Super T spansCurrently, Dong Viet Bridge construction unit mobilizes over 10 machines, equipment and about 60 engineers and workers to focus on construction items including drainage pipes, bridge railing installation, bridge surface cleaning, waterproofing construction...Workers are constructing the cable-stayed system of Dong Viet Bridge. Inside each cable-stayed cable of Dong Viet Bridge, there are many cables bundled together, ensuring that the bridge can withstand the safe load according to the design.An expansion joint on the unfinished Dong Viet BridgeThe bridge railing system is firmly installed, ensuring aesthetics.Workers are constructing the concrete wall base in the median strip of the bridge.Inside the Dong Viet bridge technical tunnel is quite spacious, easy to move around.
The approach road to the bridge on both sides is about 7.86km long, with a level II plain road scale, 22m wide, and 21.5m road surface. The approach road to the bridge on the Bac Giang side is about 4km long, and the construction unit is handling some sections of weak soil. There are currently about 3km waiting for clearance.The Dong Viet Bridge project has completed about 95% of the volume. It is expected that the bridge surface will be paved on August 25. The investment project to build the Dong Viet bridge approach road connecting with National Highway 37 (Chi Linh) on the Hai Duong side has now completed the basic construction of the road section with a length of about 5 km. Particularly, the intersection between the Dong Viet bridge approach road and National Highway 37, the road to Kiep Bac temple is facing construction site issues related to Ms. Hoang Thi Chep's house.The completion of Dong Viet Bridge will help people travel conveniently and safely. At the same time, the project is expected to promote the circulation of goods between the two provinces of Bac Giang and Hai Duong, develop tourism, and create conditions to attract investors to industrial parks and clusters in the province.
