This year’s high school graduation exam took place on June 26-28 with more than 1.07 million candidates. Along with literature, math was the subject with the most candidates.
The average score distribution for the math exam has been stable in recent years, with increasing differentiation. Last year, the average score of more than one million candidates was 6.25. The highest score achieved by candidates was 7.6. Only 12 exams scored 10 points. Meanwhile, the number of exams with failing scores (1 or less) was 123. The number of candidates scoring below average was nearly 217,000, accounting for 21.64%.
Tomorrow, candidates will take one of two combined exams: Natural Science or Social Science in the morning, and Foreign Language in the afternoon to complete the final exam according to the 2006 general education program.
The Ministry of Education and Training will announce the high school graduation exam scores on July 17. The latest time for considering recognition of high school graduation for students is July 19. Candidates can start registering and adjusting their university admission wishes from July 18 to 30.
